Inspired by the Huntsman Chair and the Safari Chair, the NH1 is at the cross section of a recliner and an arm chair. The focus of this chair was to build a piece of furniture that was able to flat pack to increase how many can be shipped at a time. This reduces the amount of pollution produced by transportation. Using bamboo for majority of the chair means that it will only take a few days for nature to grow back after it is chopped down. Local birch wood and leather was used to build the seat and the rotating axis on the seat back. The seat back forms to you as you sit allowing you to lean back and relax while maintaining good posture.  Dimensions from a collection of over 100 chairs were compiled and the ones deemed most comfortable were combined to to make the perfect seat height and angle.
